Is the EU a happy place to live in? A survey to Think - Care - Share (inclusive, multicultural classroom)
"Think-Care-Share" will encourage students to think independently, show empathy, and collaborate with their peers.
1. Mindfulness Circle
- Think: Students think about something that makes them feel calm or happy (e.g., a kind action or a moment of peace).
- Care: They share this with a partner, listening carefully to each other’s experiences.
- Share: The whole class sits in a circle and each student contributes their thoughts, creating a collaborative "mindful moment" or gratitude circle.
- We share photos of our Min
- dfulness circle to make a collage on whether Europeans feel happy
- We craft problem-catchers to hide in the schools (problems come at any size, shape, color)
These activities not only foster collaboration but also help students practice empathy, active listening, and creative thinking.
The 5th Grade students of the Primary School of Ippeios participated in a Mindfulness Circle to explore mental well-being and reflect on what makes them happy.
They shared joyful experiences such as travel, holidays, pets, and loved ones. In addition, they created a 'Box of Pleasant Memories' ("Κουτί των Ωραίων Αναμνήσεων") to write down
and collect happy moments throughout the school year. This activity fosters mindfulness by encouraging students to stay connected to positive experiences.

Raising awareness on an Open Day for parents at the Primary school of Ippeios 10/6/2025
Our pupils watched videos about the plastic pollution in the seas and its impact on biodiversity, and were shocked about the plastic floating istands. Then, they gathered their plastic rubbish in a basin. But in the end, the plastic soup turned into a "stinky plastic mountain" as one pupil exclaimed! Next, they put the plastic rubbish at the recycling bin and they discussed suggestions how to take action.
The pupils took action:
1. They participated in the Plastic Clever Schools Day of the European Week for Waste Reduction:
2.The pupils completed an audit of single use plastic at school.
3. They picked litter in the School yard.
4.Our pupils participated in the student week of action 2025 by Actionaid, "From Utopia to Eco-topia", and created an artwork of Land Art using materials of nature to convey the message of harmonical symbiosis with Nature.
